This quintessential Australian play, set in Melbourne 1971, follows Lewis, a 20-something university graduate who is tasked with directing a production of Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte in a psychiatric institution. With a fusion of personalities, the stage is illuminated with bizarre and wacky characters who sway between frightening, yet comedic performances.
Cosi will captivate the audience with gripping performances, that take you on a humbling journey of life within the walls of a rehabilitation centre.
Queen’s College Music and Drama Society is also immensely proud to be supporting La Mama Theatre, where Louis Nowra once wrote for. We are committing to donating a portion of the profits from our production to directly facilitate La Mama’s recovery from the fire that affected their premises earlier in the year. We hope that this act of solidarity will continue a mutual appreciation of theatre and the arts.
