The University of Melbourne has secured the rights to the Australian node of the acclaimed global Science Gallery network. The node, Science Gallery Melbourne, is focussed on igniting creativity and discovery in young people and exposing the breadth of STEM through the intersection of arts and science.
The purpose-built gallery, opening late 2020 as part of Melbourne Connect, will grow into a ‘living lab’; a space for researchers, academics and students to present work in an engaging, surprising and innovative way, and to enable the public to contribute to live research and education programs. Unique opportunities to collaborate with Science Gallery Melbourne exist as part of the 2020 opening season which seeks to interrogate experimental responses to issues such as social isolation and mental health concerns.
We invite people working in industry, research and educational projects and initiatives to attend a presentation on opportunities for and examples of art and science collaborations with Science Gallery Melbourne.
