In recent years, astronomical observations have provided a remarkable basis for our understanding of the large-scale structure of the universe.

In this lecture, Jeremy Mould will discuss observations of dark matter, the expanding and accelerating universe and direct remnants of the big bang to give us an understanding of the cosmos.

This lecture is part of the July Lectures in Physics series which provides an insight into fundamental questions in physics.
