Three Australian researchers in music, drama and dance therapy and an international guest speaker from the US will explore creative arts therapies in this public research seminar.

Presentation topics will include:

  • Music Therapy: We’re all playing together. Illuminating the barriers and enablers to accessing music for young people with disability transitioning from school into adult life.
  • Dance Therapy: Knowing what difference we are making: practical approaches to assessment in dance movement and other creative arts therapies.
  • Dramatherapy: Examining the role of core dramatherapeutic processes in enhancing the capacity of care workers to respond to children and young people.

This event is hosted by the Creative Arts Therapies Research Unit (CATRU). CATRU aims to establish a culture of excellence in creative arts therapies research and training, grounded in a supportive and inspiring research milieu and fostered on international collaboration.
