This program includes music from different musical periods, enabling the artist to demonstrate their appreciation of appropriate performance practice in correlation to the time of composition. It includes chamber music, a flute duet and solo repertoire. Each of these settings demand a certain approach and set of skills in their execution. The program will demonstrate the versatility of the flute from the Baroque through to the 21st Century. The inclusion of Australian compositions in my recital is incredibly important to the artist and Gorman is excited at the prospect of sharing Australian music with Australian audiences.

  • Sonata in B Minor, Johann Sebastian Bach
  • Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp, Claude Debussy
  • Sonatine for Flute and Piano, Henri Dutilleux
