    Professor Daniel Agardh

Daniel Agardh is senior consultant in paediatric gastroenterology with 20 years clinical experience of treating children with coeliac disease in Sweden. His research has mainly focused on how coeliac disease can be predicted by screening of children and how it can be prevented. He is the Head of Diabetes and Coeliac disease Unit at Lund University, which is involved in several ongoing international screening and intervention studies. Since 2006, Daniel Agardh has been the chair of the Coeliac Disease Committee in the TEDDY study, which is the largest ongoing observational study on type 1 diabetes and celiac disease.
