Frank Larkins is currently Professor Emeritus in the School of Chemistry at the University of Melbourne. He was Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Melbourne for 19 years from 1990 to 2008 with portfolio roles for research, international engagement and global relations. He also served terms as Dean of Science and Dean of Land and Food Resources concurrently with his Deputy Vice Chancellor responsibilities. His research focusses on Australian higher education policy developments. He is a regular contributor to the L H Martin Institute at the Melbourne Centre for the Study of Higher Education.
