Associate Professor Muhammad Zaman heads the Laboratory for Molecular & Cellular Dynamics at Boston University. He obtained his PhD in Chemistry from University of Chicago in 2003 and his research is focused at the interface of cell biology, mechanics, systems biology and medicine. His lab is interested in understanding and decoupling the integrated chemical, biological and mechanical basis of tumor invasion that precedes metastasis. Associate Professor Zaman has published a book, several book chapters and over 60 papers. Recently, he was awarded the IEEE Education Society’s Van Valkenburg Early Career Teaching Award recognizing outstanding teaching performance.
