Marion Gilson received the Ph.D. degree in Automatic Control in 2000 and the Habilitation à Diriger des Recherche (H.D.R.) in 2010, from Université Henri Poincaré, Nancy 1, France. She has been with the Centre de Recherche en Automatique de Nancy (CRAN), at Université de Lorraine since 1997, where she is currently an Associate Professor. Since 2000, she has held several visiting positions at Delft University of Technology, Netherlands and currently at University of Newcastle, Australia. Marion Gilson is an Associate Editor of Control Engineering Practice, and a member of the IEEE Technical Committee “System Identification and Adaptive Control”. She is the co-leader of the working group on "System Identification" of the French GDR MACS. The focus of her research is in the area of system identification with some applications to environmental problems.
