• Dr Erminia Colucci

Dr Erminia Colucci is Research Fellow at the Global and Cultural Mental Health Unit, Centre for Mental Health, School of Population and Global Health (University of Melbourne), where she currently is the coordinator of the Melbourne Refugee Studies Program. Erminia holds a PhD in Cultural Psychiatry, MPhil in Ethnographic Documentary/Visual Anthropology and is a registered psychologist in Italy (where she is from). Her main interests are in the mental health and suicide of people from migrant or refugee backgrounds and in low-middle income countries, social justice and human/women rights, including violence against women, and innovative and participatory research methods, such as ethnographic photo/film-documentary which she uses in her academic practice (see http://movie-ment.org/).
