Professor Fred Ashbury has over 25 years of experience in cancer control. He has worked in government, not-for-profit and for-profit organizations, including senior leadership positions in Cancer Care Ontario and the Alberta Cancer Board. He is Editor-in-Chief of the international, peer-reviewed journal, Supportive Care in Cancer. His research interests include point-of-care intervention research, supportive care, practice assessment and standardization. He is widely published, and is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (Board Member), and the Canadian Association of Psychosocial Oncology. He is presently Chief Scientific Officer at Viviphi Ltd, an “Oncology Knowledge as a Service” organization that has created a platform that curates and codifies world-leading cancer knowledge in support of guidelines-based standard of care therapies and genomic-guided therapies, immunotherapies and combinatorial treatments and allows virtual peer-to-peer knowledge transfer.
