David Black graduated from Harvard University, and was then a research fellow at Homerton College, Cambridge. He has published in numerous venues, including a chapter for the Cambridge History of Eighteenth-Century Music. His critical edition of the Mozart Requiem is published by Edition Peters. He is now a policy adviser on university funding at the Commonwealth Department of Education.
