Samantha Owens is Associate Professor of Musicology at Victoria University of Wellington. Her publications include the books Johann Sigismund Kusser, Adonis (A-R Editions, 2009) and Music at German Courts, 1715–60, co-edited with Janice B Stockigt and Barbara M Reul (Boydell Press, 2011). This October her monograph The Well-Travelled Musician: John Sigismond Cousser and Musical Exchange in Baroque Europe will be published by Boydell Press.
