    Associate Professor Cathy Said BAppScPhysio; PhD

Associate Professor Cathy Said is the inaugural Associate Professor Physiotherapy, University of Melbourne - Western Health. She has over 25 years experience as a physiotherapist working in neurological and gerontological rehabilitation, and her research interests focus on gait and balance disorders in these populations. Associate Professor Said has research expertise in 3D gait analysis and has been involved in a number of randomised clinical trials, including 'Falls prevention for stroke patients following discharge home' and 'Optimising rehabilitation outcomes in frail older adults'.

She is currently a Chief Investigator on the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) funded project: 'Can real time biofeedback of foot clearance data be used to assist with gait rehabilitation following stroke?'
