    Dr Deborah Williamson

Deborah is Deputy Director of the Microbiological Diagnostic Unit Public Health Laboratory. She is a graduate of the University of Glasgow Medical School, a member of the Royal College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists. She holds a PhD from the University of Auckland, and is an NHMRC Early Career Fellow in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Melbourne. Her research focus is on the application of microbial genomics to public health, with a particular focus on antimicrobial-resistant organisms.
