Daniel Nordgård teaches music business in the master's program of Music Management at the University of Agder, Norway and researches the international music industries and specifically digital disruption within these industries. He has recently completed his doctoral dissertation "Determining Factors on Digital Change in the Music Industries". Nordgård led the government-appointed Nordgård committee in 2013, which released a comprehensive report on the Norwegian streaming market last year. Nordgård has previously been active in the music industries as a concert promoter in Kristiansand. Specifically, he promoted the Quart Festival. In addition to his academic work, Nordgård serves on a number of boards and committees, nationally and internationally.
