Chris Hatton is Professor of Public Health and Disability at the Centre for Disability Research, Lancaster University, UK, and is Co-Director of the Public Health England Learning Disabilities Observatory. He has been involved in policy-relevant research with people with intellectual disabilities for almost 30 years, co-authoring over 160 peer-reviewed journal articles and numerous reports and books. His work tries to make visible the inequalities experienced by people with intellectual disabilities and their families, understand more about these inequalities, and help get evidence into the hands of the wide range of people who can make use of them to positive effect.
