Dr Adi Gupta is a Lecturer in Management at the University of Melbourne in the Faculty of Business and Economics. He earned his doctoral degree from Harvard Business School and is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India and Georgia Tech, USA. Adi's research focuses on how organizations solve problems while managing innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives. Specifically, he uses field-research methods to explore problem-solving efforts by organizations and entrepreneurs during the development of innovative products, processes, and business models. Adi has presented his research in multiple peer-reviewed academic conferences and has published his work in leading academic outlets. Adi teaches courses related to management of innovation and entrepreneurship at the Melbourne Business School.
Prior to joining academia, Adi worked at leading management consulting firms in the US and India for 7+ years. In this role, he was involved in managing multiple client engagements for the senior leadership of Fortune 500 companies and focused on formulating effective strategies, developing associated operating models, improving organizational capabilities, and enabling complex transformation efforts to enhance performance.
