In celebration of International Women’s Day 2021, join Professor Pip Nicholson, Dean of Melbourne Law School in conversation with the Hon Jill Hennessy MP.
The theme for International Women’s Day 2021 is ‘Choose to Challenge’, Pip and Jill will discuss leadership, challenges faced as Attorney-General and a Member of Parliament, exploring the reform agenda as Attorney General and issues in the law and legal sector.
Join Meanjin editor Jonathan Green and historian, author and former Meanjin editor Jim Davidson when they discuss ‘Letters to the Editor’ a reflection on correspondence from the University collection and a portrait of Meanjin’s founding 30-year editor, Clem Christesen.
80 Years of Meanjin is a collaboration between Archives and Special Collections and Meanjin, using our collection of Meanjin material to celebrate the literary magazine’s 80th year. Our program of events will contain four panel discussions or online events throughout the year covering great cover art, letters to the editor, Australian cultural identity as pursued through the pages of Meanjin, and poetry.
