Grimwade Medallist Oration : Professor Markus Covert - “The E. coli Whole-Cell Modeling Project: Accelerating Discovery via Comprehensive Biological Simulation”
The Grimwade Medal Oration will be hosted by the Department of Biochemistry and Pharmacology at the Bio21 Molecular Science and Biotechnology Institute.
The Grimwade Medal for 2025 will be presented to Professor Markus Covert Ram Shriram Chair and Professor of Bioengineering at Stanford University.
Prof Markus Covert will present a comprehensive exploration of cell behaviour through a computational and experimental lens at the Grimwade Oration.
The Grimwade Medal funded by the Russell and Mab Grimwade Miegunyah Fund has been a significant supporter of academic activity at the University of Melbourne. The Grimwade Medal aims to promote the discipline of biochemistry and molecular biology by inviting a stellar researcher each year to visit the University.
