The University’s Medieval and Renaissance Ensemble celebrates death and life at the French court during the Renaissance in song and instrumental music. Students will perform sections from the Requiem for the assassinated Henry IV, the Calvinist who embraced Catholicism for the throne of France, and instrumental works by Eustache de Caurroy, as well as chansons by Claudin de Sermisy, Clément Janequin and Charles Tessier.
