Jiang Li is Associate Professor of English and Translation Studies at Beijing Normal University. She holds a Ph.D. from Peking University. She was a visiting scholar of the University of Chicago (2016-2017). Her research interests are the English translation and interpretation of Taoist philosophy, hoping to bring the study of translation into larger historical and comparative culture frameworks. She is the principal investigator of two China National Funded Research Projects. She is the author of Reception and Transmission of the “Aesthetic Images” of the Zhuangzi in English (2014), “Cultural Choice in Translation and the Unique Position of the Zhuangzi in the Intellectual History of the World” (2017), and “A Review of Researches on the Zhuangzi in English Journals in the First 15 Years of the 21st Century” (2018).
