    Professor Arun Thiruvengadam

Arun Thiruvengadam holds degrees in law from the National Law School, Bangalore and New York University School of Law. He began his legal career in the Indian Supreme Court as a law clerk to Chief Justice A.M. Ahmadi between 1995-97 and has since worked as a litigator before the High Courts of Madras and Delhi and the Supreme Court. In his academic career, he has focused on Indian and comparative public law, regulatory law and law and development. He is the co-editor of ‘Emergency Powers in Asia (Cambridge: 2010), ‘Comparative Constitutionalism in South Asia’ (Oxford: 2013) and the author of ‘The Constitution of India: A contextual analysis’ (Hart/Bloomsbury 2017).
