Antonio is an Italian conservator specialising in contemporary art. He studied conservation at the Istituto Centrale del Restauro in Rome and has 40 years’ experience in the field. In 1979 he researched contemporary art conservation at the Department of Conservation at New York University with a Fullbright scholarship. Since then he has worked and researched for many Italian and foreign institutions. He teaches courses on Contemporary Art Conservation at Centro Conservazione e Restauro “La Venaria Reale” (To) and was responsible for the Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna in Turin during the European project INCCA (International network for the Conservation of Contemporary Art). He is Vice President of the International Institute of Conservation, Italian Group.
