    Dr Jorie Butler

A Health Psychologist by training and graduate of University of California, Irvine, Dr. Butler’s research is focused on relational and contextual factors associated with shared decision making, patient centered care, clinician education, and clinical decision-making. Her focus is on the goals and personal experiences of patients, and how clinicians obtain and use that information to encourage active patient involvement in shared decision making and delivery of patient centered care particularly for older populations. She supports development and evaluation of implementation of informatics solutions for enhancing patient centered care and clinical decision making. She also evaluates educational experiences of physicians, nurses, and other associated health trainees.
