Jason N E Varuhas is a Professor of Law at Melbourne Law School. His areas of research and teaching interest include administrative law, the law of torts and the law of remedies. He is an author or editor of seven books. His monograph, Damages and Human Rights (Hart Publishing 2016) is the only book to have been awarded both the UK Society of Legal Scholars Peter Birks Prize for Outstanding Legal Scholarship (2016) and the Inner Temple New Authors Book Prize (2018). He is a founder and convenor of the Public Law Conference series, the leading forum for the scholarly discussion of public law in the common law world.
