Impressionism is one of the most recognisable and cherished of all painting styles.
We celebrate iconic paintings such as Claude Monet’s Impression, soleil levant (1872) and Pierre-Auguste Renoir’s Dance at Le Moulin de la Galette (1876), but where did they come from?
