The ability to move data globally is transforming international trade. Small businesses can use platforms to reach customers globally, services can be increasingly exported online, and business can provide services to add value to traditional goods exports using sensor and data analytics. In addition, new technologies such as artificial intelligence rely on access to data globally.

This seminar will discuss how data enables new digital technologies and affects international trade and the implications for international trade law at the World Trade Organization and in free trade agreements.
