Daniel Agardh's talk will focus on the observations made from the Environmental Determinants of Diabetes in the Young (TEDDY) study – a multinational prospective observational study on type 1 diabetes and coeliac disease. In his talk, he will also discuss how the experiences and knowledge from TEDDY and similar screening studies have been used for starting up new prevention and intervention studies involving infants at genetic risk.
