The Melbourne Conservatorium of Music joins with St Johns Southgate and the Australian Bach Society to host a symposium showcasing Bach scholarship across the country featuring a free public lecture by Prof. Christoph Wolff, Harvard University.

Performances include:

Eisenach, Leipzig, Hamburg: Orchestral Music of the Bach Family. Works by Johann Bernhard, Johann Sebastian & Carl Philip Emmanuel Bach.

String students from the EMS and MCM, directed by Rachael Beesley

Saturday 26 July @ 3.30pm

The German Baroque Motet: Music by Heinrich Schütz, Johann Hermann Schein, Johann Michael, Johann Christoph, Johann Sebastien and Carl Philip Emmanuel Bach – e21 joined by students of the MCM, directed by Stephen Grant, Associate Artist with the ARC Centre of Excellence for the History of Emotions.
