Join us for this webinar as part of the AI in Private Spaces Seminar Series given by CAIDE researchers investigating Physical place, digital space, and the pervasive devices that bind them: understanding our ever-connected world.
This project investigates what individuals understand about the relationship between physical place, digital space and the pervasive devices that bind them. It asks how much we understand about the impact this relationship has on our day-to-day lives and our rights more broadly. Using the University of Melbourne as a case study, the researchers will present their findings from speaking with members of the UoM community.
For this seminar, Dr Aleks Michalewicz, Dr Kristal Spreadborough and Dr Marc Cheong will present their research from the CAIDE seed funding round pervasive devices. The session with be moderated by Professor Liz Sonenberg, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Systems Innovation. The project was funded under CAIDE’s 2021 seed funding round Pervasive Devices, in the AI in Private Spaces research stream.

Learn how ancient pollen preserved for millions of years can help reconstruct past climates and even help us understand what a daily menu may have looked like for dinosaurs.
The Science Festival Mid-Afternoon Masterclasses run online every day at 2pm, Monday to Friday during National Science Week. Each masterclass showcases a University of Melbourne scientist and their groundbreaking discoveries, with live demonstrations, virtual lab tours, and lots of fun!
